How does it work?

Web Shop Managers Google Tag Manager Integration, uses easy configurable options in the administration screen to enable different aspects of Google Tag Manager across your site. Once enabled, small amounts of JavaScript code are added to the frontend of your site which send Google Tag Manager vital customer data. Since our clients may want different tracking data, we have made it easy for each client to select which enhanced e-commerce tracking you want to use.


Once enabled, you will be able to access your configuration under the System → Configuration → Integrations tab.

Google Tag Manager (GTM)  replaces Google Analytics and Google AdWords and should not be used in conjunction with each other. GTM should be used by itself, otherwise the data may not be accurate.

GTM requires that Tags be published, of which the minimal required tag to be published if Google Analytics (GA). Without the GA tag be published, GA cannot record data. The client is required to at a minimum publish the GA tag before installing GTM on their website.
