Managing Blogs and News Articles on Your WSM Store

Your Web Shop Manager (WSM) store includes content tools that let you publish blog posts (sometimes called "stories") and news articles, and allow visitors to comment on news articles. This article explains how these features work and how to troubleshoot the most common issues.

Blogs vs. News Articles

Your store supports two types of content:

    • Blogs / Stories — Articles you write and publish to a blog or stories page on your website.
    • News Articles — Timely posts that can optionally accept comments from visitors.

Both are managed from the content area of your WSM admin.Adding a New Blog Post

If you regularly add blog posts, the general workflow is:

    • Log in to your WSM admin.
    • Go to your content/blog section.
    • Create your new post, add your content, and set it to visible.
    • Save and publish.
Your published posts appear on your site's blog or stories page.News Article Comments

News articles can be set up to allow visitors to leave comments. When someone comments on a news article, it may generate an email notification to you.

Comments submitted to your news articles can be reviewed within your WSM admin, where you can see who commented and manage what is displayed to visitors.

Note: If you receive comment notification emails but aren't sure where the comments live, look in your admin for the area where news comments are reviewed. If you can't locate it, contact WSM support and we can point you to the exact location for your store.

Troubleshooting: My Blog or Story Isn't Showing Up

If you publish a blog post or story and it doesn't appear on the front end of your website, try the following:

    • Confirm the post is set to visible. A post can exist in the admin but still be hidden from the public site.
    • Check the publish date. Some posts are scheduled or filtered by date.
    • Review your display limit. If your site only shows a certain number of posts, older or newer items may be pushed out of view.
    • Clear your browser cache and reload the page.

If a post is marked visible in WSM but still does not appear on your live site — or if multiple existing posts have stopped showing — this may require a closer look by our team.

Important: In some cases, posts that are correctly marked visible in the admin may not display on the front end due to a technical issue. If you've confirmed the post is visible and it still won't appear, please open a support ticket. Include the post title and the page URL where it should appear so we can investigate.

Image Sizing on News/Blog Posts

If an image on a published article appears too large, too small, or improperly sized, our team can help adjust it. When submitting a request, please include the exact URL of the article and describe the issue so we can correct the image size.
