Managing Pricing in Your WSM Store: Tiered Pricing, Bulk Updates, and Currency Display

This guide covers the most common pricing tasks in your Web Shop Manager (WSM) store, including tiered/dealer pricing, bulk price updates, and displaying prices in other currencies. It also explains what to check when prices don't display as expected.

Tiered and Dealer Pricing

Tiered pricing (sometimes called dealer or wholesale pricing) lets you show special prices to specific customer groups—such as dealers—while regular retail customers continue to see standard retail prices.

When special pricing isn't showing for a customer

If a dealer or tiered-pricing customer is seeing only the retail (or sale) price instead of their assigned pricing, check the following:

    • Confirm the customer account is assigned to the correct price group.
    • Confirm that the product itself has a price entered for that price group.
    • Verify the customer is logged in when viewing the catalog—special pricing typically displays only for logged-in customers assigned to that group.
Note: Retail pricing displaying correctly while tiered pricing does not usually points to a missing price-group assignment on either the customer account or the affected products.

Restructuring or removing tiered pricing in bulk

If you plan to remove or rebuild all of your tiered pricing across many products at once, please be aware that clearing tiered pricing columns in an exported CSV and re-importing does not reliably remove existing pricing associations, and can produce import errors.

Because bulk removal of tiered pricing can be complex, we recommend opening a support ticket before making large-scale changes. Our team can review your product data and help ensure the change is applied correctly without disrupting your catalog.

Bulk Updating Product Prices

If your prices haven't been updated in a while, or you need to raise or lower prices across a brand or category, you have options for updating many products at once rather than editing each product individually.

Depending on your store's configuration, you may be able to apply a bulk price change yourself as an alternative to going through support. If your store includes a self-service option for setting, increasing, decreasing, or clearing prices globally or by brand, you can use it to update pricing without submitting a ticket. If you're not sure what's available in your store, contact support and we can point you to the right option.

⚠️ Important — verify results after a bulk change: Bulk percentage adjustments can occasionally produce unexpected results. In some cases a bulk increase has left affected products showing $0.00. After running any bulk price update:

> - Spot-check several affected products on the storefront.
> - Confirm no prices dropped to $0 or another incorrect value.
> - If something looks wrong, contact support right away so it can be corrected before customers are affected.

If you'd like help applying a large price update—or updating pricing for a specific brand to match current MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) figures—our support team can assist.

Keeping Brand Prices Current (MAP Compliance)

If your storefront prices fall below a manufacturer's MAP (for example, prices appearing lower than the supplier's listed price), submit a request to have that brand's pricing updated to current MAP levels. When reporting a MAP issue, it helps to include:

    • The brand affected (e.g., ARB).
    • A link to a product where the discrepancy appears.
    • The source you're comparing against (such as your supplier's catalog), if the correct price is listed there.
Displaying Prices in Another Currency

If you're expanding to a new market—such as adding Canadian distribution—you may want your store to display prices in another currency, or to show a currency conversion for international visitors.

Currency display options depend on your store's configuration. If you'd like to show prices in a currency such as Canadian Dollars, or provide converted pricing for customers in other countries, please contact support so we can review your setup and configure the best option for your store.

Need Help?

For any of the tasks above—especially bulk pricing changes, tiered pricing restructuring, MAP updates, or currency display—open a support ticket with:

    • Your store URL
    • The brand, category, or products involved
    • A link to an example product showing the issue
    • A clear description of the change you'd like made
This information helps us resolve your request quickly and accurately.

Note: One of the source items reviewed for this article contained mixed billing and pricing requests. Billing questions (such as monthly hosting charges) are handled separately from catalog pricing—please submit billing inquiries as their own ticket so they reach the right team.
