Managing Website Content and Pages in Web Shop Manager

Your WSM store gives you the ability to add, edit, and remove content across your website—from page text and checkout messages to entirely new pages. This guide explains the most common content tasks and how to get them done.

Editing Text on an Existing Page

Many content updates involve changing wording that already appears on your site—for example, homepage copy, product descriptions, or informational text.

To request or make a text change, it helps to provide:

    • The exact page where the text appears (for example, your homepage or a specific product page).
    • The current wording you want to replace.
    • The new wording you'd like to use, written out exactly as it should appear.

Providing all three details ensures the change is applied precisely and to the correct location.

Tip: When the same wording appears in multiple places (such as a promotional message shown on the homepage, cart, and checkout), be sure to note every location so the text can be updated consistently across your site.

Updating Checkout Page Messaging

The checkout page can display custom messages to your customers, such as notices about why contact information is required or details about delivery and fitment.

When updating checkout text:

    • Identify the specific step or section of checkout where the message should appear (for example, the Step 3 area).
    • Provide the exact replacement text.

Note: If you add a message to the checkout and it does not appear where you expect, the message may need to be repositioned closer to the intended section. Include a note or screenshot showing exactly where the text should display so it can be placed correctly.

Adding a New Page to Your Website

You can expand your site by adding new pages—such as a Blog, a landing page, or an informational page.

To add a new page, provide:

    • The name of the page (for example, "Blog").
    • The content that should appear on the page.
    • Where you'd like the page to be linked from (such as your main navigation).
Removing a Page or Link

If you no longer need a page or a navigation link—such as a "Printed Catalog Request" link—you can have it removed.

When requesting removal, specify:

    • The page or link name you want removed.
    • The location where it currently appears (for example, Home → Catalog → Printed Catalog Request).
Adding a Form to a Page

You can add forms—such as an inquiry or contact form—to existing pages, including landing pages. When making this request, indicate which page the form should be added to and what information the form should collect.

Updating Store Hours and Footer Content

Store hours and similar details often appear in more than one place, such as your site footer and your Contact page. When updating this kind of information, remember to check every location it appears so all areas stay accurate and consistent.

Adding a Site-Wide Notification

If you'd like to display a notification banner to customers—for example, at the top of your pages—this type of announcement area can be set up for your site. Provide the message you'd like to display and where it should appear.

Helpful Reminders
    • Be specific. The more detail you provide about the page, location, and exact wording, the faster and more accurately your change can be completed.
    • Use screenshots whenever possible to show the exact spot on the page.
    • Check for duplicates. Promotional messages, contact details, and store hours often appear in multiple places—list them all to keep your site consistent.
    • Some content requests (such as adding legal Terms and Conditions or larger structural changes) may be scheduled for review by the team before they are completed.
