Importing and Exporting Product Images in Web Shop Manager

This guide focuses on how to import and export product images in your WSM store. Whether you're pulling images for a specific brand or uploading images through a CSV file, the steps below will help you get comfortable working with product images in your WSM admin.

Note: Every WSM store is configured a little differently. If a step or option below doesn't match what you see in your admin, the WSM Support Team can point you to the exact settings for your store.

Exporting Product Images

If you need to export images for a specific set of products (for example, all images for one brand), reach out to WSM Support and specify the products or brand involved. The team can advise on the correct export file/profile to use for images.

Importing Images via CSV

When importing products through a CSV file, images are handled separately from your standard product data fields. A common cause of images not appearing after an otherwise successful import is that the image field isn't mapped correctly in your import profile, or the image source isn't referenced in the expected way.

One point that often causes confusion is how images are sourced. You may be able to reference images that are already hosted on your site, while brand-new images may need to be handled differently. If you're unsure which approach applies to a specific part or SKU, WSM Support can confirm the correct method for your store before you run a large import.

If your CSV import brings in all product data except images:

    • Double-check that your import profile maps the image column to the correct image field.
    • Confirm how your image sources are referenced (for example, existing hosted images versus newly added ones).
    • If images still don't import, contact WSM Support with your profile and sample CSV so the team can verify your mapping.
Getting Additional Help

For any of the tasks above, the fastest way to get accurate, store-specific guidance is to contact the WSM Support Team. When you reach out, it helps to include:

    • A link to the specific page, product, or category involved
    • A clear description of what you're trying to accomplish
    • Any error messages or screenshots you've encountered
