Zapier is a 3rd party Software solution which supports integrations between over 2,000 SW solutions. By utilizing the WSM Zapier connectors, you can pass information between WSM and any other SW tools you may be using which have Zapier support.

What is Zapier?

Zapier (rhymes with Happier) is a 3rd party Software solution that supports integrations between over 2,000 SW solutions. By utilizing the WSM Zapier connectors, you can pass information between WSM and any other SW tools you may be using which have Zapier support. Zapier uses a term called "Zaps" which are a collection of connectors that allow you to translate data from one system to another and perform actions on that data.

 

Here are some quick examples of how you might use Zapier Automation with Web Shop Manager:

  • Take all new Orders and send the Order totals over to Quickbooks online
  • Send a follow-up email through Gmail for orders after they are shipped
  • Post a message to a Slack channel on every new Order or when an Order is updated
  • Send new orders to a 3rd party shipping program, and take the shipping information returned, and update your Orders in WSM
  • Look at all new Order email addresses and add any new emails to your mailing list
  • Get order information from abandoned carts and send it to a program like Sendlane or Mailchimp
  • and many more based on your creativity, need, and the tools you use...

How does it work?

Zaps are a collection of connectors Zapier uses to pass/edit/search for information within different systems.

There are 3 different types of Connectors that Zaps can be built with:

  • Triggers - Listens for changes within a system.
  • Actions - Edits data or performs actions within a system
  • Search - Search data within a system

What Zapier features are implemented in Web Shop Manager?

  • Trigger - Order (Zapier Name: New Order in Any Status in Web Shop Manager)
    • Get notified on new orders for a given status
      • Supported status': Building, Expired, New, Pending, Processing, Held, Backorder, Canceled, Deleted, Complete, Ready to Ship, Return, Shipped, Draft Open, Fraud
    • Must be the first item in a Zap, this triggers additional actions to occur within or outside of Web Shop Manager.
  • Action - Order (Zapier Name: Update Order in Web Shop Manager)
    • Allows you to edit Order information in Web Shop Manager
    • An Order ID is required.
    • Cannot be the first item in a Zap, a trigger must occur before this action can be added
  • Search - Order (Zapier Name: Find Oder in Web Shop Manager)
    • Return Order information for a given Order ID.
    • An Order ID is required.
    • Cannot be the first item in a Zap, a trigger must occur before this action can be added

What can be configured?

Web Shop Manager does not control any configurations in Zapier. Available functionality and execution times are based on your Zapier plan

How can I get Zapier installed on my Web Shop Manager site?

All you need is a WSM "Universal" API Key and the correct Subscription Level, and that's it! The rest of the Zapier configuration and SW linking is done through Zapier. Contact us for any pricing requirements.

When you add the Web Shop Manager application to your Zapier account, all you'll need is your Site URL and the Universal API Key.
