How do I change my Web Shop Manager password?

Change Your WSM Password

Use the steps below to change your WSM Password

There are two kinds of sign-in page. Go to (yourdomain)/admin to see which one your store has:

  • A green SIGN IN WITH WEB SHOP MANAGER ID button: your store uses a Web Shop Manager ID.
  • Username and Password boxes under "Login to WSM": your store uses the username and password page.

If you see the green button: your password belongs to your Web Shop Manager ID, so you change it from the sign-in page:

  1. Go to (yourdomain)/admin. Under the green button, click Set your password.
  2. In Login or email address: type the email address of your account, then press Next.
  3. On the Reset Password page, type the code we emailed you in Reset code:. Type your new password in New Password: and again in Re-type Password:, then press Reset Password.
  4. You see "Your password is set. Press Sign in with Web Shop Manager ID and use it." Press the green button and sign in with the new password.

Use at least 8 characters with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a symbol such as !. If the code has not arrived after a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder, or click Send a new code.

If you see Username and Password boxes:

  1. Log into WSM
  2. In the upper right hand corner (on the gray menu), click Account
  3. Click Change Password
  4. Enter your existing password
  5. Enter your new password in each supplied box

🔎Note: Your password needs at least 8 characters, including a number and a letter. Some stores also ask for an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a symbol such as !, so a password with all of them works everywhere.

If you have forgotten your password:

If you see the green button: follow the same steps as above, starting with Set your password.

If you see Username and Password boxes:

  1. Go to your login screen: YOURDOMAIN.com/admin
  2. Click forgot password right below the Login button
  3. In Login or email address: enter your login or the email address associated to your account, then press Next
  4. An email will be sent over with a link or a code to reset your password
