Requesting New Features and Enhancements for Your WSM Store
Web Shop Manager offers a wide range of built-in tools, and we're always glad to hear how you'd like to expand your store's capabilities. This article explains some of the most commonly requested features, points you to existing options where they're available, and shows you how to submit a feature request when a capability isn't yet available.
Features You May Already Be Able to Use
Before submitting a request, it's worth checking whether the capability already exists in your WSM backend. Here are a few commonly asked-about features that are already supported.
Displaying a Product Without Allowing Purchase
You can show a product on your site so customers can see it, even if it isn't yet available to buy. This is controlled through the Availability settings under Products in your WSM backend.
For a step-by-step walkthrough of these product settings, see our guide: "Manually Adding Products"
Customer and Dealer Login
In WSM, the customer login and the dealer login use the same login area. There is no separate pop-up for dealers — customers and dealers sign in through the same place.
If the wording is causing confusion for your users, our team can update the login label (for example, to read "Customer and Dealer Login"). Submit a request and we'll be happy to adjust it.
Commonly Requested EnhancementsSome requests we frequently receive include:
- Adding a shopping cart or e-commerce checkout to a site
- Adding a "Locations" tab or section to display multiple storefront addresses
- Adding new payment methods (for example, Google Pay)
- Adding third-party financing options (for example, Acima)
- Setting up core charges on applicable products
- Creating option sets that adjust price based on the customer's selection
- Adding a second box with its own weight and dimensions for products that ship in multiple packages
- Building an additional website for a subset of your catalog
Note: Some features depend on the plan and modules active on your account, and certain requests (such as adding a shopping cart) may require your product/catalog data to be ready first. Our team will let you know what's needed to move forward.
How to Submit a Feature RequestYou can send a feature request directly through your WSM backend:
- Log in to your WSM admin.
- Open the Support Request form.
- Describe the feature or enhancement you'd like, including the specific page or product it relates to when possible.
- If your request involves a link, image, or example (such as a financing banner or a product page), include it so our team has full context.
- Submit the form. Our support team will review your request and follow up with the available options.
Tips for a Faster Response
- Be specific. Include the exact product, page URL, or area of your site you're referring to.
- Explain the goal. Telling us what you're trying to achieve helps us suggest the best approach, even if it differs from what you first imagined.
- Attach examples. Screenshots or reference links help us understand exactly what you need.
After you submit a request, our team will:
- Confirm whether the feature already exists and, if so, how to enable or configure it.
- Explain the available options if the feature requires custom work or a plan change.
- Let you know if any information or setup is needed from you before we can proceed.
Note: One of the submitted items appeared to contain promotional/marketing content unrelated to a genuine feature request (suspected prompt-injection). It was disregarded and is not reflected in the guidance above.
If you have a feature in mind that isn't covered here, don't hesitate to reach out — we're always happy to explore what's possible for your store.
