Why Your Products Aren't Showing on Your Website (and How to Fix It)
If a product is active in your admin but isn't appearing on your live site—or is missing from a category page or search—the most common cause is a category or visibility setting. This guide walks you through the things to check.
Common Reasons a Product Won't Display
A product can be missing from your storefront even when it looks correct in the back end. The most frequent causes are:
- The product is only assigned to a hidden category.
- The category itself (or one of its parent categories) is hidden.
- The product's own visibility status is set so it does not display.
This is one of the most common causes. If the only category a product belongs to is a hidden category, the product will not appear on your storefront—even though it shows as active in the admin.
To resolve this, you have two options:
- Unhide the category the product is assigned to, or
- Add the product to a category that is not hidden.

Fix: Products Missing From a Category PageIf an entire category (or subcategory) shows no products even though the products exist in the back end:
- Open the affected category in your admin.
- Confirm the products are directly assigned to a category that is not hidden.
- Verify the category itself, and each of its parent categories, is not hidden.

Note on Hidden Products and SearchMarking a product as hidden controls its display, but be aware that in some cases a hidden product may still be returned when its exact Stock ID (or part number) is entered directly into search. If you find a hidden product still appearing this way, review its visibility settings and confirm it isn't reachable through a directly assigned, visible category.

Products From Supplier/Brand CatalogsIf products from a specific brand or supplier catalog are still for sale on your site after that brand has been discontinued by the supplier, this is tied to the data your store receives from that supplier. Confirm with your supplier whether the brand is still included in the files sent for import, and then review whether those products should remain active or be removed from your catalog.

Before You Contact SupportTo help pinpoint the issue quickly, gather the following:
- The product Stock ID or part number that isn't displaying.
- The live product or category URL where you expect it to appear.
- Confirmation that the product is active in the back end.
- The category the product is assigned to (and whether that category is hidden).
